tundra came together in summer 2003 to embody aspirational, loud and melodic, textured music in the tradition of sigur ros, gybe, pixies, mbv ...
the current line up comprises a core electric trio of drums, bass & guitar which is complemented by occasional textural elements including string trio, laptop, cornet, organ & glockenspiel. tundra play original material composed and developed by members of the band.
based in Brighton, in 2004 tundra have released their inaugural ep, and played a handful of well received concerts. in the next few months they are scheduling short tours of the UK and NW europe. a second recording is being planned.
